You love making everything look easy.
The only thing that doesn’t work for you is asking for help! No person is an island, we all have to trade and bring in what we can’t produce ourselves. Sometimes you need the support to take the next leap.
YOUR HOMEWORK IS…
Give yourself a break from loneliness and let some else in and to help.
Lone leaders tend to think that no one else can do a better job. Pick a question below and come up with as many answers as you can. Then ask 6 different people the same question and listen to their answers. Ask Rochelle the question, then listen to her answers.
- How and why is honesty the best policy?
- How and why is beauty and relationships necessary?
- What are the qualities that make for a great relationship
- What makes for a well lived fulfilling life?
Ask for assistance.
You may not want to ask anyone for help because you think you will look stupid or incompetent. The truth is people love helping other people, because it’s how you build trust and loving. It’s how you bond with others, when you have helped someone in the past, how did that make you feel? Practice being imperfect. Ask a friend or co-worker to take something off your plate. Ask your significant other to help you with a small task. Can you ask your daughter, son or niece to suggest an app for your smart phone. Stretch out of your comfort zone.
